Imagining and collaborating

Year 5 imagined they had escaped from a camp, like the one in the story The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. We had to find things left in the woods by an ally (can you remember what we said an ally way?). The children had to decide who they would work with to build a … Continue reading »

It was cold, wet and muddy but

we wrapped up warm and had fun. Look at our smiles even though it was miserable weather. We warmed ourselves up having some races on the field. We had been telling the story about the race that the animals had in the Chinese New Year story. Of course we had hot pop too!

Builders in the woods

F2 have been thinking about the Three Little Pigs. In the woods they worked together to build houses out of different materials. They collaborated with each other. The children also stretched their noticing muscles and found different things. We had good fun again.

We would have to become detectives to find out what had happened. This would need us to really stretch our noticing muscles. The … Continue reading »

I had ordered some snow for today’s Forest School afternoon, but it wasn’t quite cold enough so we just had rain! Oh we did get wet … and muddy! We started off by thinking how things in … Continue reading »

Our new group of explorers

Today was the first session for our new group from early years. Some children from F2 took part today. We were thinking about noticing, and all the different ways we notice things, we thought about all of our senses. Although the children were excited they showed super listening. When we got to the woods, we … Continue reading »
