The weather wasn’t good this afternoon, so we decided to put up some shelters to keep us a little drier. We got muddy! I was really pleased to see lots of collaboration and I could hear the children talking about their ideas for making the shelters.
Once we had the shelters we talked about year 4’s topic. They are learning about the Roman’s. I told the children I didn’t know very much about the Romans, and so they told me lots of interesting facts. Did you know they used cat poo and spiders webs for medicine and bandages!
I had found out about Face Pots, these were pots that had faces on them, they were sometimes scary faces. Some people think this was to stop people stealing what was in the pot. The children had a go at making their own.
