Directions and shapes

This afternoon we were thinking about compass directions and shapes. We used string to plot out shapes following written directions. What shape would it make if you walked five steps North, then three steps west, then five steps South and finish with three steps East? 0

What a fabulous morning in the woods. The children were so busy exploring  in the woods.  The children loved climbing trees, weighing and making a rock band with noisy log drums. 0

Another busy afternoon in the woods

Both groups stretched their learning muscles this afternoon. The first group used the bow saw to cut wood. The saw is really sharp so we have to use it correctly.
