Such a busy day full of learning.

Take a look at the pictures to see what we have been doing today. It has been lots of fun, and I have seen some amazing learning.

This morning some year 5 boys stretched their imagination muscles and became characters in Mario Land. It was great to hear the ideas the children were coming up with.

F1 are reading the Stick Man book this week so they stretched their noticing muscles to collect sticks this morning in the woods. What do you think they will do with the sticks back in class?  The children could only collect sticks that were shorter than their arm. Look at the pictures and see if you can see someone measuring their stick.

This afternoon we had two groups from year 4. Last week they had asked if we could make toast on the fire. I think they thought I was going to say it was impossible, but guess what, we made toast! It got a thumbs up because it tasted awesome. I’m not sure if the boys believed me when I told them how we used t always make toast on the fire when I was little.

I was really impressed with everyone, but I was especially impressed with Tyler and Oakley. Tyler has used the fire steel before, and so he is confident to use it. Oakley has not used it before so found it tricky to make a spark, with some help from Tyler he persevered and managed to make some sparks. It must have been because Tyler was so good at explaining how to do it.
