Learning together

Posted by on February 26, 2016

This afternoon some children from year 4 went to the woods with a group of younger children from the children’s centre. It is amazing to watch how they interact. The older children¬† show such empathy, and are so caring for the younger children. They should be really proud of themselves. They are able to see what the younger children might want to do and encourage them to join in different activities. The smiles and laughter through the afternoon is such a wonderful way to end the school week.

This is what the Children’s Centre blog says about this afternoon

This afternoon children’s centre have been exploring the woods with year 4, we have made different models with clay such as snowmen and cakes by rolling the clay and using tools to shape it. We also made dens and “choo, choo” trains using the different crates. After a while we started getting a little cold so Gilly made a fire for us all to sit around and eat our marshmallows which we roasted ourselves!
