Thursday learning

Posted by on March 18, 2016

Yesterday was a chilly but sunny and dry day in the woods. In the morning the children’s centre stretched their noticing muscles looking for living things in the woods. We noticed lots of new buds and leaves starting to grow on the trees. The nettles are also starting to grow . I love the changes that happen in our woods over the year, there is always something new to see. What is your favourite part of the year in the woods? I like autumn when the colours start to change but I also like this time of year when things are starting to grow again. Summer is always good in the woods, it is so very different when the leaves are thick on the trees, it makes the woods feel very different to winter time.

Year one did some climbing, it was a good opportunity to explore and also to think about being aware of others when we are playing.
