Thursday was a brilliant day for learning in the woods. It was also a day where I was able to look at our learners and see how much they have grown through the year. I was so impressed with how awesome F2SJ have got at taking turns when working in groups, they are really good at encouraging each other and they listen really well to instructions. This is going to be something that helps them become even better learners when they move into year 1. Miss Jamieson was impressed with how the children used their maths skills in the woods.
I had a great afternoon with year 4. I really enjoyed listening to the children explain how it felt being blindfolded. There were some brilliant explanations about how they felt guiding someone who was blindfolded. We talked a little about what things made them feel safe or confident when they were blindfolded.
