This morning we did something a little different in the woods, it was something I haven’t tried before. We made damper bread, we used flour and butter, mixing it with our hands until it was like breadcrumbs. The children stretched their noticing muscles and explained what it looked and felt like. We then added some milk and water and mixed it all together until it was a dough. After rolling it into long snakes we twisted them around sticks ready to cook. I was so impressed with how absorbed and focussed the boys were, especially as we were really experimenting because we didn’t know what they would turn out like. We were all pleasantly surprised with how yummy it was.
